My May Favorites!

Hey everyone! It is time to talk about my May favorites! I have a variety of items this month that I'd like to share with you guys.  Let's get started with my beauty faves!

First off I was really excited to try out the L'oreal Miss Manga mascara.  Everyone knows that I love my Maybelline Falsies, but my only problem with that one is that it is so thick and clumpy!! The Miss Manga mascara is AMAZING when it comes to clump control.  And the wand feels comfortable in my hand (it has a certain weight to it, it doesn't feel flimsy... hard to explain!).  And of course, the results are great and it thickens my lashes as well as lengthens.

Next is the INM Out the Door clear top coat.  Recently I had noticed that my well-loved Sally Hansen clear shine top coat was beginning to get all goopy and sticky, and to make it even worse, it was taking hours and hours for my nails to dry.  I wanted to try something completely different so I walked into my CVS looking for something new.  I had never heard anything about this brand or this product so I decided to pick it up (and as far as I remember it was a reasonable price).  Can I just say how much I LOVE this top coat!! Not only does it leave my mani super shiny, it dries so fast!! Usually, I apply a base coat and two coats of polish, so it takes a while to dry.  With the Out the Door top coat, my nails are dry within 20-30 minutes.  I know it's not like a 60 second kind of thing, but as far as fast-drying top coats go, I find that these usually dry without much shine.  Unlike those, this one stays shiny and protects my manicure for a good week :)

Last is the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Gel Liner.  I was looking for a good brown liner and stumbled across this one.  I usually gravitate towards the gel or cream liners that are in a little pot.  I just find that these are easier to apply and makes a better "cat-eye look." I love this product so much that I have found myself wearing it alone on my lids without any other eyeshadow! It's so easy to use (very forgiving) and it even comes with a little brush.  To be honest, I don't use the brush, I mainly reach for my Real Techniques angled eye liner brush.
Last on my favorites list is kind of random.  For my birthday back in February, my mother-in-law sent me a book called "Lady Catherine and the Real Downton Abbey."  It was written by Lady Fiona Carnarvon, who, along with her husband, the Earl of Carnarvon, own and operate Highclere Castle, the real location where Downton Abbey is filmed.  Basically, she tells the story of her predecessor, Lady Catherine and her husband, the then Lord Carnarvon.  I fell in love with the story and was happy to discover that she wrote another book called "Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey," the story that takes place a generation before Catherine and is about Almina, her husband's mother.  These books are SO interesting, especially if you're into history and maybe even a fan of Downton Abbey (which I definitely am!!!!). So check these out if you think you'll like them, because they're great! Lady Fiona Carnarvon also manages a blog, where she talks about her daily life at Highclere which is so interesting (ladycarnarvon.com). I'd love to visit one day :)

Let me know if you've tried any of these products! Thanks so much for reading this long and wordy post!!

Dupe Alert!!

Hey everyone! So I'm sharing this dupe with you guys because I know how much you appreciate it (as I do too!). I found this one by accident which is kind of funny. My sister got her nails done a few weeks ago and picked Essie's Chastity. After seeing the finished manicure and both of us freaking out about how amazingly beautiful this bright pink was, I decided to find it on Amazon to buy it for myself.  Strangely enough, a few days later I was doing my nails and reached for my Sinful Colors polish in Over It.  My sister saw me later that day and said "Oh so you bought the Essie color!?" Then we compared our manis and I couldn't believe how similar they were!!

So if you're like me and sometimes think Essie is a BIT pricey, check out this polish! They usually run for about $1.99 at your local Walgreens :)

April Favorites!

Ok I know I'm a bit late on this!! I'm back from a semi hiatus since IT'S THE END OF THE SEMESTER AND I'M GRADUATING! I promise I will also be getting back to making YouTube videos too people! Ok so let's get started on what I was loving this past month!

1: EOS products! I've been loving my EOS Egg for years, but I had been dying to try their other products. Recently I went into Target and saw the hand lotion by the registers and decided to try.  I am in LOVE! I use it every night on my hands right before bed.  It's important to moisturize before bed because our skin regenerates as we sleep so extra moisture is essential.  And it doesn't hurt that the smell is amazing too (I think it's a berry scent). The last time I visited Target I was checking out the dollar section and came across the EOS shave cream and decided to try it (it was only like $1 LOL).  This is a great shave cream because it leaves your skin so soft, softer than any other shave gel.  I'm not sure if these come in a regular size (does anyone know??), but I'd love to have more of it! The only annoying thing is that it takes forever to come out of the tube.

2: Eyeshadow sticks.  I got really excited recently when they started stocking NYX products at my CVS, so I decided to pick up some of their eyeshadow sticks.  These are great!! I used Strawberry Milk (a shimmery pink color) on my sister's lids as a base color when I did her engagement photo makeup look.  These sticks are a great way to add color to your lids as a base or worn alone! Also pictured is NYX Yogurt (toupe-bronze color) and Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Bulletproof Beige.

3: Lastly is the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion skin exfoliator.  I got this in last month's Ipsy bag and it is probably my favorite product from the whole bag.  It smells like lemons and leaves your skin SO soft and radiant after using.  Basically, after washing your face in the shower, rub the exfoliator onto your skin for about two minutes and then rinse.  I wanted to purchase a full size bottle of this product, but it was way too expensive, so I guess that's the only downside!

Have any of you guys tried these products? I'd love to hear your experiences with them! Or what are some products that you have been loving this month?

Nude Nails for Spring

Hey everyone! So I know Spring is all about the pastels, but I say that it's about the nude colors too! Lately I've been super into these nude colors on my nails. I thought I'd share some of my faves with you (in order of the picture):

1. Maybelline Color Show: Born With It
2. The Face Shop nailpolish (doesn't have a name!)
3. NYC: Prospect Park Bloom
4. Milani: Angel Pink
5. Kardashian Khroma Beauty: Dahlia

Right now I'm wearing the NYC color.  Look how pretty:
It's very similar to the Maybelline Color show one, but I'm definitely in love.  Such a pretty and feminine color that looks great on everyone! So tell me, what are your favorite nail colors for Spring??

New NYX Lip Swatches

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been inactive yet AGAIN! It's the end of the semester and you know how that goes.  Anyway, so recently my CVS has started stocking NYX products! I have been waiting for a while now and then sort of forgot about it, then all of a sudden, there it was!! So last night I decided to pick up a few new lip products :)

This first one is the Butter Gloss in Merengue.  Such a pretty light pink color and it's of course great for Spring.  I love these butter glosses because they're so rich and creamy. I just love NYX, especially their lip colors!!

The second one is the NYX lipstick in Snow White.  This color is definitely very pigmented, so be careful when you're applying! You can even tell on the left side that I was having problems! Besides that, the color is beautiful and you can build it up to make a darker and more dramatic look :)

Well there ya have it! Check your local CVS, you might be getting NYX soon! Maybe it'll be unexpected like what happened to me.  Of course, you can always stop by your Ulta or NYX.com. What NYX lip colors do you love??

Sunglass Trends S/S14

Hey kids! So today I thought I'd share some new sunglasses I bought this season.  We all know the exciting new shape that's in this year: round cat-eyes.  I was going crazy looking for sunglasses like these and I finally got my hands on them (surprisingly, they didn't have any at H&M or Forever 21). The top pair I found on South Street in Philly (there are a lot of accessories stores there, and I literally don't remember which one it was), and the bottom two at Aldo (2 for $20 on sunglasses).  I have to admit that I wasn't sure how this trend looked on me at first, but I'm definitely in love now!

Also, I wanted to share a new website that I recently found with you guys.  Before I found these cuties at Aldo, I was about to buy a few pairs on here.  They have tons of options (even men's) and very very inexpensive! And I do believe it was free shipping :)

zerouv.com
Either click the picture or click here to visit ZeroUV.com.  Thought I would share this little gem with you guys. What would you do without me?!?!

March Favorites

Hi beauty lovers! So here is my blog version of my March favorites! I've been using a lot of new products this past month, but a few definitely stick out in my mind. Let's start:

1. Dickinson's Pore Perfecting Toner: this is my first time using a toner, I used many types of astringents during my teen years and I hated them.  This past month I decided to step up my skincare routine and this was the first step.  Every night after showering, I apply the toner all over my face using a cotton round.  Now, if you saw my March Favorites video, you know that I said the smell is kind of strange! It smells like food or something and it kind of bothers me.  I usually just hold my breath while applying and it's fine! Maybe it doesn't bother everyone, so don't let it discourage you from trying it.

2. Boots No. 7 Cleansing Water: this goes along with my new beauty routine.  I have to admit that I used to just step into the shower with a full face of makeup and just remove it with my face wash.  Now that I have started first removing it with this product before washing my face, I feel like I get a MUCH better clean. Not to mention that I no longer get out of the shower with that annoying left over eyeliner and mascara underneath my eyes.  I like this product because it doesn't feel oily, it definitely feels more like water.

3. Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer: I LOVE this stuff.  It's kind of fun to use, not gonna lie.  It's great for covering up those dark circles underneath your eyes and it blends really well.  I guess there's a reason why everyone loves this thing.

4. Forever 21 scrunchie: I'm wearing it in my hair right now! I'm definitely loving scrunchies right now, especially to use at night.  It's so much softer than a regular hair tie and a lot more comfortable to sleep in.  I like to use this guy when my hair is oily at night and I just want to pick it up in a messy bun.  But I will definitely still wear it outside of my apartment too! It's just so cute.

5.  Ssips juice boxes: these little guys are so cute and so good! I saw them at my grocery store (it was like a pack of 10 for under $2) and thought they looked good.  I got the Cherry-Berry flavor but they had a few different ones.  The only downside is that they're kind of small, if that bothers you (I think they're made for kids......).

So there you have it! My favorites during the month of March! Let me know if you've tried any of these products, I'd love to hear what you think.

Orange Lips for Spring

Hello beauty lovers!

I'm back!! Since today the weather is so dark and gloomy, I thought I'd bring Spring back into this blog.  Let's talk about orange lips!  I put together a list of my favorite orange lipsticks and glosses, so let's start.

Here I've swatched the lip products that I have pictured above:
1. Milani - Sweet Nectar
2. NYC - Coralista (NEW shade! And I must say it's an amazing bargain)
3. Ulta Beauty Lipstick - #208 (Guess these don't have names?)
4. Ulta Beauty Lip Crayon - Coral Kiss (these are great lip crayons if you're looking for one!)
5. Revlon Color Stay - Continuous Coral (I bought this a while ago, so I'm not sure if they will still have this in stock.  Even if they don't, Revlon always has great coral shades)

So there you have it.  You know I'll be sporting orange lips throughout the spring (except for when I'm wearing my signature bright pink!).  If I have inspired you to try any of these, let me know! Or if you know of any other amazing colors, I'm all ears :D

My Favorite Skincare Line: Genove

Hi readers!! So today I wanted to dedicate a whole blog post to my favorite skincare line: Genove! Genove is a Spanish company that specializes in a whole array of hair and skincare products, and they are especially good for those with sensitive skin.  To my knowledge, the only place where you can purchase these items is from their website: genoveusa.com

I have been exclusively using Genove for my skincare needs for YEARS and I can't imagine using anything else for my face.  I have very sensitive skin, that is sometimes dry and these products are just perfect.  So, I thought I would go through the items I use everyday from this line!

1. Let's start with the Fluidbase Moisturizing Face Cream.  This comes in special formulas for either dry or normal/combo skin.  I usually go for the one for normal skin.  I use this moisturizer every morning or always right before makeup application.  It also has SPF 10, which is a plus because I know I will personally never use a moisturizer without SPF since I'm so fair skinned.

2. Next is the Fluidbase Oatmeal Facial Cleanser.  The formula is great for all skin types, but especially for those with sensitive skin because it is very hydrating and is SOAP FREE! Yes you read correctly, it is soap free. Its main ingredients are oatmeal and Avena Sativa, which absorbs any impurities in the skin. The oatmeal basically prevents dehydration and keeps skin soft.  Just a side note: when using this product, since it is soap free, it will not lather as much as a regular face wash.  This is normal! It will clean your skin as well (or better) as any other wash.

3. The Genove Lip Balm.  It has a delicate scent, which is great for those who do not like highly fragranced facial and beauty products.  I used to use this constantly when my family and I would go skiing during the winter.  The dry wind and snow would always leave my lips so chapped so I knew I had to invest in a great lip balm.  It's perfect for me now still because it saves my lips during the harsh Northeastern winters!

4. Last but not least is the Fluidbase Retinol facial cream with Vitamin C.  I use this baby every night before bed, and I always wake up with beautifully soft and luminous skin.  This is an anti-wrinkle cream that minimizes and fine lines.  I apply it all over my face, but concentrate mainly around my eye area.  This is by far my favorite product, it just leaves my skin so soft!!

Well, there you have it! I hope you enjoyed and possibly inspired you to try one of these great items! Again, their website is: genoveusa.com so check them out! They are also on facebook.... just click HERE to view their page.

Nominated for the Liebster Award!!

So I have been nominated for the Liebster Award by two very lovely ladies: Bekka and Jasmin! Thank you guys so much for nominating me, this is so much fun! The Liebster Award is a great way to reach out to other bloggers, while promoting smaller blogs!

So here goes:

The Liebster Award is an award given from blogger to blogger to help get recognition for blogs with less than 200 followers, and it is the perfect way to get more involved in the blogging community by passing the award on.

Basic Rules
1. Link back to the blogger who nominated you.
2. Tell us 11 facts about yourself.
3. Answer the questions that the blogger who nominated you asked
4. Nominate 11 other blogs that you love.
5. Create 11 questions for the bloggers you nominate.

Boots No. 7 Fanomenal Lash Serum Review

Hello everyone!! The time is finally here..... time to review the Boots No. 7 Fanomenal Lash Serum! 8 weeks ago I said that I would come back with my before and after pictures and here they are.....

So uhhhh...... did this product work?? A few weeks ago I really felt like my lashes were a lot longer and thicker, but now that I look at the pictures, I'm kind of disappointed.  Ok, I think maybe they are a little bit darker or thicker, but they're the same length for the most part.  Do you agree?  I'm also disappointed because I LOVE this brand and everything else that I have tried from them is great! I use their Cleansing Water to remove makeup before showering and it's a great product.  It smells good, it's light and not greasy, and it works.  So I don't know! I don't want to put anyone off from using the Lash Serum, maybe it works for some people! I just don't think I got the results I really wanted.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Do you see a difference, even a small one? And are you interested in trying the Fanomenal Lash Serum?

Battle of the Highlighters & New Video!

Hello readers! Today I thought I would feature my favorite part of my beauty routine: highlighters! I love to highlight my cheekbones, especially in the spring and summer.  I usually achieve this look by using a moisturizing foundation with brightening effects such as Almay's Wake Up foundation (featured in my Spring Makeup Look video tutorial HERE).

In the picture above I have some of my favorite highlighters (I rotate them and use different ones each time I apply makeup).  So, if you're on the market for a new highlighter, these are some to consider:

1. NYX Liquid Illuminator: As you all know, I'm a huge NYX fan. Their products are seriously so good for the price and you can never go wrong with them.  This is a good one for a subtle glow, just use underneath foundation, and remember -- don't apply powder on top, it'll mattify it and that defeats the purpose!

2. Victoria's Secret Ultimate Glow Face Trio: I love this little compact for traveling.  It includes a bronzer, blush and highlighter (and a mirror), so it's super easy just to chuck in your travel bag and you don't have to worry about bringing too many separate products! Also, the blush color is BEAUTIFUL.

3.  Benefit High Beam: I really like this little thing, but I always pair it with the Benefit Posietint because they look beautiful together.  These two products are great for a subtle flush and glow (a lot of times, I add a powder blush and highlighter on top for a better effect). Also, as I've mentioned before, make sure you apply it on top of foundation, never on top of powder! It will not blend well and it'll just look weird.  This also goes for any other Benefit tint.

4.  Milani Illuminating Face Powder: I love this product so much, I even included it in my February Favorites video (if you want to watch, just click HERE).  This powder is great alone or over a liquid highlighter.  It's a beautiful combination of pinks and golds that work perfectly to create a natural glow. I like to apply it on my cheekbones, chin, nose, and cupid's bow.

5. Boots No. 7 Skin Illuminator: This is my FAVORITE highlighter!! Most of the time I apply it before (or after) foundation and then I go in with the Milani powder right on top.  It also has a really cool applicator.  When you open the cap, it'll reveal a brush applicator.  You just squeeze the tube and apply it using the attached brush.  Just a tip: a little goes a long way with this product, so don't go too crazy! I am obsessed -- I really suggest trying it!!

Benefit Feelin Dandy Lip & Cheek Kit Review

Hello everybody! So recently I bought my very first Benefit Cosmetics kit! My sister and her boyfriend generously got me a gift card for Sephora for my birthday and I just couldn't resist.  I was so excited to finally try it so I decided to use it the other night when I went out for a casual dinner with the hubs.

So what comes in the kit exactly? You get a mini version of Posietint, High Beam, Dandelion blush, and the Dandelion Ultra Plush lip gloss.  I have tried Benetint before and I have to admit that I didn't like it.  But, I also have to admit that it's because I used it wrong!! When I finally learned, I was amazed! It was a beautiful little flush of color on the apples of my cheeks and combined with the High Beam, it brightened up my entire face.  Just in case you were thinking of trying any of the Benefit tints, remember to apply it BEFORE your powder.  Layering it on top of the powder will make it look streaky and it won't blend very well.  Also, as a warning... they dry really fast so make sure you blend it out with your fingers as quickly as possible!

And as always, the Dandelion blush is a beautiful color and perfectly compliments the Posietint when layered on top of it.  If you want the entire effect, don't forget the lip gloss! I am definitely not a lip gloss type of girl (I prefer lipsticks) and I was really surprised by this one.  Yes, it was sticky and felt like a gloss, but the color was beautiful and went perfectly with the rest of the look.

So to summarize..... TRY IT! It's actually a pretty good deal, I think it was like $28 and you get all these products in a cute little box.  Benefit products are always housed within the cutest packaging, don't you agree?

Have you tried this kit? Let me know in a comment if you have or if you're interested in trying! As always, thanks for reading :D

Hey guys! So yesterday the hubs and I had what I call a Sunday Funday! We had lunch, stopped for some frozen yogurt, then did some shopping! We headed to our favorite thrifting spots on South Street (Philadelphia) along the way!

Had to stop at Berry Sweet and grab a Birthday Cake frozen yogurt with some brownie bites and chocolate sauce ;D

Then off to Retrospect - my favorite spot for vintage clothing, household items, and accessories at a great price.  Then no thrifting day would be complete without a visit to Philly AIDS Thrift -- probably the best thrift store in Philadelphia!

And the greatest thing I have ever found!! A CAT PILLOW
I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for reading!!

My Top 5 Favorite Lipsticks!

Hello there readers!! Today will be a simple yet very important topic: LIPSTICKS.  I have developed a recent obsession with these things (you'd think that I had like 12 sets of lips in order to wear them all lol).  It was a very difficult process, but I have come up with my top 5 lipsticks, and here they are in no particular order (except for #1 because that's legit my favorite one):

5:Kate by Rimmel in #101: Pinky nude shade that works great for everyday wear and even with a more dramatic smokey eye.

4: Deborah Milano Atomic Red matte lipstick: beautiful bright red matte color that is perfect for special nights out, especially in the fall and winter time.

3: Wet n Wild in #511B: I could have sworn this color was called like Fuschia something or the other, but apparently not.  It's a few years old, but it's a bright fuschia color that I love using in the summer and spring, but I will definitely still wear it all year round :)

2: Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Deepest Cherry: this is a beautiful dark cherry/wine color that I love for the fall.  I basically wore it everyday a few years ago around Oct/Nov/Dec and I think it looks beautiful against lighter skin tones.

1: EM Cosmetics lipstick in Violaceous: If any of you guys read my blog, you will know this is my favorite lip color!! It is so creamy and so moisturizing, it feels so luxurious when you apply it.  The color is perfect, it's like a lilac/purple shade.  I received it in my Ipsy bag a few months ago and let me tell you, I wasn't too sure about it at first.  I had never tried any plums or purples on my lips before, but I am now a lilac lover!!

I hope I have inspired you to try these colors or something similar! It's always great to try things outside of your comfort zone -- you will never find products you love if you don't (ok and maybe products you hate)!!.

Side note.... I am starting YouTube videos soon.  Let me know what you think and what kind of video you'd like to see!

Thanks for reading!!

Soft & Romantic Valentine's Day Makeup

Hi readers!! So of course Valentine's day is around the corner! I know I will be going all out with my makeup when I go out with the hubs that night :)! Today I was playing around with makeup, trying to come up with a good look that I can share with you guys.  I'm obsessed with purples and lilacs at the moment so I decided to go with that.  Keep reading if you want to achieve this beautiful and soft look for Valentine's day (or any other day!).

1: First moisturize and prime.  I used Maybelline's Baby Skin (of course) and applied all over with a foundation brush.

2: Next comes foundation.  I used my Rimmel Stay Matte foundation and applied with my Real Techniques stippling brush.

3: Conceal and highlight under eyes with a good concealer.  I used the Rimmel Match Perfection underneath my eyes and the Physician's Formula Perfecting Concealer Duo for any blemishes.

4: Now the finish: apply a good face powder anywhere you applied concealer to seal it all in.  I used NYX's Radiant Finishing Powder (LOVE btw!).

5: Can't forget the brows people! Define your brows with anything you like to use... I used my e.l.f. eyebrow kit.

6: Prime your lids.  I used my e.l.f. eyelid primer all over lids and crease.

7: Ok now for the eyes. For this look, I used my Too Faced In Your Dreams palette.  First, I applied Pink Peacock all over my lid (or any light shimmery pink will work of course) with a flat shader brush.  Next, apply a dark purple to the crease (I used Dream On) with a fluffy crease brush.  Then, a dark grey to the outer V of your eyelid (I used Fishnet) using a small accent brush.  Keep blending! Blending is the most important step!

8: Now line the top of your lash line with a black cream liner and add a little flick at the outer corner (I used my e.l.f. cream liner).  Line your waterline with a brown pencil liner (like the NYX eyebrow and eyeliner pencil in Medium Brown) and then using an angled brush, apply a brown shimmery eyeshadow underneath your lash line (I used Rapture) to smoke it out.

9: Mascara time! I used my Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant mascara, but of course any kind will work.  You can also apply false lashes here too (I might do that on Valentine's day).

10: Now for the cheeks.  Use a good bronzer to the hollows of your cheeks, under the jaw line, and up to the top of your forehead.  Next, apply a highlighter to the tops of your cheekbones (like NYX's Liquid Illuminator). Then, last but not least, a pink blush to the apples and blend out to your hairline (NYX's Baked Blush in Spanish Rose).

11: Now for the best part! Lipstick! I used my all-time favorite lipstick here... EM Cosmetic's lipstick in Violaceous.  It is the most beautiful lilac color and I am obsessed.

There ya go! Don't you look pretty? I'd love to know if anyone tried this look and how it worked out for you! Thanks for reading :)

My Flawless Face Essentials!

Hello readers!!! So I thought I'd share an important part of my beauty routine -- how to get that perfect complexion! Here are my flawless face essentials:

1: First and foremost, it is always important to start with a good daily moisturizer.  There's nothing more annoying than applying makeup to a dry face.  It's just not pretty!! Every morning, I use my Genove Fluidbase moisturizer for Normal skin.  There is also a version available for dry and combo skin.  This is by far the BEST moisturizer I have ever used.... it is so delicate, which is something I look for because I have very sensitive skin.  Check out the whole Genove line here: http://www.genoveusa.com/~shop/main.html

2: Before applying foundation, it is imperative to use a good primer.  Lately, I've been using the Maybelline Baby Skin pore eraser.  Primers are great for minimizing pores, keeping your foundation in place all day, and allowing any makeup to adhere to skin more smoothly.

3: As many of you know, I am now obsessed with the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation.  Using a good foundation that will minimize any shine is important for a flawless look!

4: Next, I use my Rimmel Match Perfection concealer under the eyes.  If you read my blog, you know that this is great for accentuating the area under your eyes and getting rid of those pesky dark circles.  You also need a great concealer for any blemishes.  I get a lot of redness around my cheeks due to old pimples (mine take FOREVER to disappear) so I like to use my Physician's Formula dual tone concealer.  Any concealer that comes with that green color is great for getting rid of any redness and coloration when used UNDERNEATH the skin tone concealer.

5: Now it's time for powder.  Powder is so important to any makeup look -- it keeps everything in place!! I like to carry around a spare compact just in case I need to blot during the day!

That's all for now lovelies! Thanks for reading!! Leave a comment and let me know what you think :)

My Nighttime Routine!

Hey guys! Thought I would share my nightly routine with you! It's extremely exciting I know lol.  Anyways here goes!

1: Every night I literally look forward to taking a shower before jumping into bed.  I always use my Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep body wash. It smells like lavender and vanilla and it's so calming and the smell just reminds me of sleep and getting into bed!

2: After a shower, whenever my lips are really dry (especially now in the winter) I like to use my e.l.f. lip exfoliator.  It leaves my lips feeling so soft and it gets rid of all that dry skin.

3: Next I use my No.7 lash serum.  It says to use every night and eight weeks later, your lashes will be thicker and longer.  I've only used it for a few weeks, but I guess I will find out.  I'll of course by posting my review on here with some before and after shots.

4: Next is my Genove Fluidbase Retinol face cream.  I use this every night to fight against wrinkles (I don't have any yet, but it's good to start early!) and I am OBSESSED. It leaves my skin so soft and it really brightens up my skin.  If you want to check out the Genove skin care line, visit: http://www.genoveusa.com/Products.html you will LOVE it!!!

5: Next is my Julep hand exfoliator.  Just like the lip exfoliator, it's great to use in the winter (and smells really good)!

6: I always moisturize every night and especially at this time of the year, I go to a thicker body butter formula.  My favorites are the Bath and Body Works body butters, here I have my Japanese Cherry Blossom one.

7: Last but not least, if I washed my hair, I always put a bit of my Garnier Moroccan oil in my damp hair and then blowdry.  I am so attached to it that now I legit can't wash my hair without using it!

There's my routine! I hope you enjoyed :) Please leave me a comment if you liked it!!! Thanks for reading!

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer & Stay Matte Foundation Review

Hey guys I'm back!!! After a long and tedious revamping of my blog I finally like how it looks!! Anyways.... on to the review:

So I recently picked up two products that I have been dying to try: the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation and the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer.  I figured that since I am obsessed with the Stay Matte powder I should give the foundation a try.  Let's just say it is PERFECT.  Right when you start applying, you can tell that it is going to give you full coverage and keep any shininess away.  My only problem is that I think I bought it in the wrong shade (stupid of me lol), it was a bit too light but not too much since it still worked.  I recently did a lookbook photoshoot (which will be up soon after editing... I'm really excited!) and I used this foundation because I knew I wanted good coverage.  So basically, I give it a 10/10.

Next is the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer.  I love this product.  The shade is perfect and it gave my eyes a bit of a glow.  I really only used it under my eyes to brighten the area (because I love my Physician's Formula color correction concealer duo for hiding blemishes). It was super easy to apply - it has one of those brush tips that load the concealer and then you just apply to your face.  I also give this a 10/10.

Ok random thought. Are any of you guys Ipsy subscribers? For my January bag, I received the Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow pencil and I'm pretty sure it gave me a rash around my eyelids and crease.  Did anyone experience this??? It was kind of scary lol and I don't know, it may not have even been because of this product (maybe something else??). Ah well!

Thanks for reading <3
